T:The Three Little Drummers
N:Under this title O'Neill listed three parts for this tune, but John McGettigan also recorded the
N:two-part setting ("the two little drummers"?) [JS]. Bob "Fiddler" Beers drew on the tune for a
N:Christmas song about "three drummers from Africa" coming to worship the Christ Child. Robin
N:Williamson, apparently, is the culprit for this tune coming to be known as "The Tenpenny Bit", a
N:similar but not identical tune in O'Neill's. This tune is also called "The Lilting Banshee" [MR].
