This directory contains ABC transcriptions of some of the tunes in the FARNE "Anonymous 19th century tune book" in the collection at http://www.asaplive.com/archive/browse_by_collection.asp

This site is somewhat difficult to understand or navigate, and the search sites like google don't seem to know much about it, either. But it has scanned images of a lot of old music collections from the 18th to the 20th centuries. As far as I can tell, they only exist in image form, mostly JPG; if any have been transcribed to a software-amenable form, I can't find them. After playing though a lot of the tunes, I've made ABC versions and posted them here. If you have any more, or would like to exchange pleasantries, send me email. There is a lot of good stuff in these old collections.
