These are the same book. Ryan's was the original edition, published in 1884 in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1940, the Cole Publishing Company republished it without giving credit to the original editor or publisher. It is now available from Mel Bay in a very nice printed edition, edited by Patrick Sky.
This online version is in abc notation. Serious folk musicians will want a printed copy. Meanwhile, you can get the tunes in several ways:
